THANK YOU to Annabelle Gurwitch, Heather Havrilesky, Strawberry Saroyan, Jian Huang and Susan Hayden for a very special Father’s Day salon at The Last Bookstore! It was hot! (Literally!) And poignant, funny and very real.
The audience was mesmerized by Annabelle Gurwitch’s hilarious and deep tales of her larger-than-life father and reading from her memoir, WHEREVER YOU GO, THERE THEY ARE, followed by a captivating Q&A with Heather Havrilesky on fathers, book writing and more.
Readings by Strawberry Saroyan, Jian Huang and Susan Hayden were full of breathtaking twists, turns and surprises, including an appearance by Ron Jeremy. (He came up twice at the event, if that says anything.)
Signings and frolicking in the bookstore followed the event, which was emceed by AFLW co-founder Michele Raphael.
Huge thanks to everyone who was there!
